I wanted to to try this odd looking sea star. I had the right color yarn and some ideas about how to make the non-tapered arms. I'm rather pleased with the results. The nubby texture of the crochet stitch and the seam on the underside mimic the spots and lines on the real creature. The metal straight edge is 24inches (61cm) So you can see my sea star is very large.
